TSL is committed to protecting your privacy and complying with all the laws in force relating to data protection and confidentiality, particularly European Regulation 2016/679, known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the national provisions relating to computers, files and individual freedoms.

This confidentiality policy describes the personal data that are collected or generated (processed) when you use TSL’s websites or applications.


1. Responsibility for processing your personal data

TSL has sole responsibility for processing your personal data.


2. Types of personal data collected

2.1. Data collected automatically
When you interact with our website, certain types of data are collected automatically from your device or web browser. They include:

  • The device ID, call status, network access, storage and battery information.
  • Cookies, IP addresses, referent headings, data identifying your web browser and its version, spy pixels and web beacons.

2.2. Data that you send us

2.2.1. When creating a user account

In order to purchase and facilitate the processing of your orders on our online store, you are required to create a user account including information such as First name, Surname and a valid email address. The user account is protected by a password of your choice.

In your user account, you can consult and modify your personal data at any time.

After your user account has been deleted, your data will be automatically erased, unless we are required to store your data for a longer period due to tax and commercial law storage and documentation obligations or if you have consented to additional storage.

2.2.2. When placing an order

When you place an order via your user account, TSL collects the following information:

First name, Surname, A valid email address, Country, Address, Postcode, City, Telephone number, Payment information, Payment method

We collect this data in order to:
- identify you as a customer
- verify the veracity of the data entered
- process payment of your order
- handle any possible liability claims and follow through on any claims against you

The personal data collected for the processing of your order will be stored until expiry of the statutory storage obligation and will subsequently be deleted, unless we are required to store the data for a longer period due to tax and commercial law storage and documentation obligations.

2.2.3. Contact forms

We ask you to send us certain personal data items so that we can meet your expectations concerning the products or services you are looking for. For example, when you ask for information via our different contact forms, After Sales, guarantee activation, registration for newsletters, etc.

These personal data include:

  • Your contact details, including your name, first name, e-mail, telephone number and postal addresses.
  • Images, photos and videos
  • Proof of purchase.

We collect further personal data from you to activate certain specific functionalities on our website.  For example, we ask for access to location data in your telephone, tablet or computer so that we can give you the address of the store nearest to you where you can find our TSL products.


3. The reasons for collecting your personal data

3.1. For a quality service

We are very attentive to the quality of service we provide for our customers. To meet your expectations, in our after-sales service, for example, we may ask you for, process and use the personal data we need to allow the service to run smoothly.

We may also need to process and use your personal data to warn you of any major problem concerning the quality of our products, alert you when your safety is at risk or improve your user experience.

3.2. For targeted communication

We may use your personal data to send you targeted information via newsletters concerning products (new products, evolutions, etc.), services or events that may be of interest to you. You can unsubscribe at any time after you have given your consent.

3.3. For the protection of TSL

We store your personal data to protect our rights, property and security (Illegal use of our products, Prevention and detection of fraud, Violation of our terms and conditions of use, etc.) in order to be able to supply the information required for any legal rulings.

We also base what we do on other legal grounds, such as our legitimate interests as a company, to abide by a legal obligation or to protect your vital interests.

3.4. Other purposes

We may use your personal data for purposes other than those mentioned above, in which case we will inform you and ask you for your consent.


4. Transfer of your personal data

TSL agrees not to transfer your personal data to other companies or entities for commercial purposes.

We may transfer your data:

  • To outside service providers who process personal data on behalf of TSL, for dispatches and deliveries, for example. When we use the services of outside service providers, we sign contracts that require them to implement the appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure that your personal data are protected. 
  • To third parties who ask us formally for your information to help them comply with a governmental or legal query/decision.
  • To any other third party, but only after you have given your consent.

Your personal data may also be sold or transferred if TSL is reorganised, liquidated or bought out.

 

5. Personal data conservation and security

We ensure that your personal data remains accurate. We delete anything that is obsolete, incorrect or uninteresting. Please let us know of any changes to your personal data so that we can update them.

We keep your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes referred to in this confidentiality policy.

TSL does its utmost to ensure that your personal data are stored securely from both a technical and organisational point of view.

To guarantee these security measures, we use firewalls and secure servers.  TSL employees are given adequate training and follow the measures we have put in place to provide protection against any unauthorised or inappropriate use of your personal data.

 

6. Cookies and Web Beacons

TSL collects information, which may include personal data, from your browser when you use our Websites. When you consult the TSL website, information is placed on your computer in the form of a text file known as a “cookie” to enable us to recognise your computer.

These cookies allow us to monitor customer use and traffic on our website and understand their preferences so that we can offer the best services or web experiences.

If you wish to refuse the cookies, you can configure your browser settings accordingly. Every browser operates differently. We therefore recommend that you go into your browser’s “Help” menu to find out how to change the cookie settings. However, if you choose not to accept cookies, you may find that you no longer have access to all the functionalities on our website or to some of our services.

 

7. Your right to access, modify or delete your personal data

You have the right:

  • To ask to have access to your personal data that we have collected at any time in a commonly-used, machine-readable format.
  • To add to or modify any information that you consider useful.
  • To delete any data that are not required to comply with legal obligations.

7.2. Your right of complaint

If you contact us about a complaint, or if you consider that your personal data is being processed in a manner incompatible with the laws in force, this will be treated with a view to resolving the matter efficiently and in reasonable time.

You also have the option of lodging a complaint with the competent inspection authority in the country of your place of residence. For France, for example, you have the right to lodge your complaint with the “Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés” (CNIL).

7.3. Direct Marketing
At any time, you may also ask us not to use your data for any form of direct marketing, sales promotions or TSL advertising.

N.B. It is important remember that, if you wish to delete your personal data or prevent it from being processed, we may no longer be able to provide you with certain services.

 

8. Updating our confidentiality policy

As legislation and customs change over time, TSL may be required to update its confidentiality policy from time to time.

If we materially change the way in which we process your personal data or if these modifications concern the purpose of the data processing, TSL will inform you in advance and, if required by law, will ask you for your authorisation.
